For anyone with an interest in horse racing, Newmarket, and in particular the National Horse Racing Museum is a 'must see'. Besides the allure of horses, Newmarket has a superb range of shops, restaurants, attractions and pubs. Just 10 minutes away

Another lovely market town, Mildenhall is most notable for the RAF airbase the history of which can be found at the Mildenhall Museum in the centre of town. Mildenhall has a stadium for speedway, banger racing and greyhound racing. Also for the bird enthusiast, Lackford Lakes has become a very popular reserve. Just 5 minutes away.

Bury St Edmunds
Bury St Edmunds is an important market town. With a richly fascinating heritage, the striking combination of medieval architecture, elegant Georgian squares, a glorious Cathedral and the Abbey Gardens, it provides a distinctive visual charm. With prestigious shopping, an award-winning market, a variety of attractions and many restaurants, there is something for everyone. The Nutshell, is the proud record holder of Britain's smallest pub, as declared in the Guinness Book of Records and is a 'must do' visit. Approximately 25 minutes away. 

Known the world over for it's Colleges and Universities, Cambridge is steeped in history and is hugely popular with tourists from around the globe. In more recent decades science parks have become a global hub for technology companies, pharmaceuticals and many more industries. Approximately a 35 minute drive from our bed and breakfast.

​With it's vast Cathedral, Ely is another fascinating place to visit. Sitting upon a rise in the middle of the Fens, the views from the West Tower of the Cathedral seem to go on for ever. The town regular hosts festivals and carnivals and with its twice weekly market has plenty of shops to peruse through. There are also plenty of eateries on offer. About 25 minutes away from Lord Mayors.
